Château de Montcombroux

The Château is situated in the Domaine Château de Montcombroux in the Vieux-Bourg and dates back to the 18th century. The year 1752 is engraved on the façade of the Château. A number of outbuildings can be found around the château, all of which shall be retained and will be given a new function once they have been renovated. This will include a clubhouse, pro shop, brasserie, boutique, and spa with fitness suite and swimming pool. Read more about these under the facilities tab.

The large farm, a traditional ‘corps de ferme’ which is found next to the château, will also gain a new function. The farmhouse, meanwhile, is being used as a sales office. A hotel will be built next to the farm and stalls in the future.

The Clubhouse will be housed in the former château outbuildings. A beautiful garden filled with old trees surrounds the château, as is customary in France. It is an extraordinarily idyllic spot for a gastronomic restaurant with a wonderful terrace. As the château and the outbuildings are located at almost the highest point, there is a beautiful view over the golf course.

The castle was occupied by the descendants of the Meilheurat family until the early 1990s. The magnificent panelling and parquet flooring have been well preserved and will provide the Château bar and restaurant with plenty of character after the renovation. A fireplace can be found in almost every room. The original kitchen will contain a bar where people can enjoy an aperitif around the old stove. Apartments will be created on the different floors of the castle. This part of the building will not be accessible to the public, but will remain for the exclusive use of the buyers.
